Wizard's Tower

One of the games I play is Mordheim. One of the neat things about that is I get to create my own terrain for the game. Below are a few terrain pieces I've built. Enjoy!

Wizard's Tower

Made from a Morton's Salt canister, foamcore, basla wood, some green stuff, thin card from a cereal box, a Reese's Minature Peanut Butter Cup wrapper, and the ubiquitous Starbuck's coffee stirrers, the Wizard's Tower was my first ever scratch built building. The stairs were a pain and had to be built in three stages -- the first few steps, the top steps, and the landing. Tamara's out of focus Warlock searches in vain for a doorknob.

For the stones on the tower, I cut shapes out of thin card and glued them on. I wound up using some green stuff to fill in the groove along the outside of the canister. When drybrushed, it came out looking like stonework. I may try this on a ruined tower idea I have. The door here is also made of the coffee stirrers with one of the wall ornaments that came from the Mordheim box as a knocker. Off on the right is a little observation balcony with what's supposed to be a telescope. The idea here was to provide a good high area for archers but to give them no cover. Sort of an exposed good sniping area.
